Twins Seven-Seven: A Dreaming Life

Our Iwalewa Book Club starts again - again!

This summer, we indulge in a publication about one of the most flamboyant artists of the 20th century. Visual artist, theatre maker, musician, politician: Twins Seven-Seven was it all in one. Based on the book "A Dreaming Life: An Autobiography of Twins Seven-Seven" in cooperation with our partners of CBCIUI and Soweto Book Café.

In a number of discussions, reading sessions, we discuss the legacy of indeed a dreaming, dream-filled life.

In our first session, we have the honour to welcome our respected colleague, Raheem Oluwafunminiyi, from the Centre for Black Culture and International Understanding, with an introductory presentation on the artist Twins Seven Seven, his life and artistic career - straight from the CBCIU in Osogbo. We are grateful!

Iwalewa Book Club Sessions are held on the following Wednesdays:

2.6.2021, 4.15pm CET

You can join on zoom, or follow the Iwalewahaus Facebook live stream.

Please get in touch with us if you wish to receive a copy of the book: katharina.fink (at) uni-bayreuth.de (kf)
